We run Queensland’s largest
Knife Making & Blacksmithing workshops and we often get asked about
kid-friendly classes. We’ve uses our experience of running 1000’s of
blacksmithing classes to design a friendly, safe, and fun blacksmithing experience for children.
With
a focus on safety and guided by experienced instructor, students will
learn the fundamentals of forging, shaping, and creating with metal.
This hands-on class not only teaches practical skills but also instils
patience, creativity, and problem-solving—qualities that last a lifetime.
Our
goal is to keep the art of blacksmithing alive and thriving for the
next generation. We aim to inspire a sense of pride in craftsmanship,
encouraging young learners to take on the challenge of shaping metal and discovering their potential in a supportive, fun atmosphere.
In
our Junior Blacksmithing Classes, students will have the opportunity to
create their very own hand-forged leaf and feather keychains. These
unique projects are perfect for beginners, combining simple yet
rewarding techniques to spark creativity and build foundational skills.
