Savage Custom Knives is happy to announce we're offering knife classes! No experience required!

Have you ever thought about making your own knife? I have a friend who is always telling people about how his dad's built a chef knife over 30 years ago that he still uses to this day! Come make a custom knife with us, make some memories and a knife you can pass onto your children who can tell their friends this same story in 30 years time.

In the two-day class, we go through the whole process of making a custom stainless steel knife from start to finish. We have some knife templates to choose from, such as, western chef knives, gyuto, nikari, camping knives and edc knives. You also have the option to bring your own template in and we can work on it together!

On top of this, we will also make a custom resin handle. You will learn how to cast the epoxy resin using mica powders, alcohol inks and acrylic paints to create a vibrate knife handle in the colour/s of your choice. 

We practice grinding while we wait for the other knife to be heat treated. We will practice freehand grinding and how to get a machine finish.
